U. S. Steel Serbia branch in Šabac produces tin-coated steel products used by customers in the packaging industry for production of cans for food products, paints, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.

The plant's tinplate production lines include edge trimming, tension leveling, continuous electrolytic tinning, cutting and packaging. U. S. Steel Serbia, d.o.o. Tin Mill Division in Sabac

delivers tinplate as cut-to-length material packed in bundles with maximum weight of 2,000 kg or coils with maximum weight of 15,000 kg. This shipment packaging complies with all world standards and is suitable for land, river and overseas transportation.

Production processes ensure finished material in accordance with all world quality requirements. The responsibility of management and all employees of the enterprise are reflected through the fact that it has been a perennial holder of certification in internationally recognized standards ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

In the year 2005, HACCP (Healthy Food Production and Trade Safety Management System) was implemented in Šabac.

In early 2004, the Sabac facility completed installation of a $2.3 million tension leveling system. The equipment has enabled the plant to improve its quality and output.

Production capacity is gradually increasing, with utmost attention paid to quality and work safety, and currently has reached more than 200,000 tons of tinplate products per year.

TheSabac Plant has a process water preparation facility as well as one of the most modern facilities for purification of production effluents.
